Calories Burned Calculator

NewCalculation

Choose an activity from walking and running to the gym or jumping rope, enter your weight and the duration, and get an estimate of calories burned. The calculation uses standard MET values, so results are comparable across activities. Ideal for planning workouts and tracking effort.

Enter your weight and duration to see an estimate.

Uses the MET formula: kcal = MET times 3.5 times weight (kg) divided by 200 times minutes. Results are approximate.

How does the MET formula work?

Each activity has a MET value measuring how many times more energy it burns than resting. Calories equal MET multiplied by 3.5, your weight in kilograms and duration in minutes, divided by 200.

How accurate is the estimate?

MET values are averages taken from large population studies, so results are a solid guide for planning, not a medical measurement. Speed, fitness and terrain all shift the real number, usually by ten to twenty percent.
