What is a Discount Calculator?

A Discount Calculator subtracts a discount percentage from an original price and reports the discount amount, the final price and the percentage that was saved. It is handy when comparing deals, preparing sales prices or checking whether a labeled discount really is a good deal.

How does the calculation work?

The discount amount is the original price multiplied by the discount percentage; the final price is the original price minus that amount. An item priced at ₺250 with a 20% discount saves you ₺50, so you pay ₺200, and the "You save" value shows the 20% rate.

Two directions, one question

Percent off answers 'what does 25% of €80 cost?' Final-price answers 'I paid €60 — what percent is that?' Both are useful in different moments: shopping quickly, then reviewing whether a 'deal' was actually a deal.

Stacking discounts is not additive

A 20% sale followed by an extra 10% coupon is roughly 28% total, not 30% — each discount applies to the already-reduced price. Fold discounts one after the other instead of adding percentages, or the total will surprise you at checkout.
