What is text to speech?

Text to speech converts written words into spoken audio using synthetic voices. The browser reads the text out loud using a locally installed voice, so no files are uploaded to a server and nothing is stored.

How do I use it?

Type or paste your text into the box, choose a voice from the list, and optionally adjust the speed and pitch sliders. Press Speak to hear it and Stop to pause the reading.
